Our Mission:
To promote and enhance 21st century leadership competencies in individuals and organizations.
Our Purpose:
To provide leaders and organizations with the skills and tools to sustain optimal engagement, performance and competitiveness.
Our Philosophy:
Renewal, Resiliency and Relationships (R3) are the keys to thrivability in a complex interdependent and constantly changing world. Aligning the synergy of R³ creates life and work environments that foster innovation, healthy and robust competition, and optimal performance in individuals, teams and organizations.
Our personal, professional, and organizational spheres of life, or EcoDomains, are microcosms of the larger ecosystem. The ability to bring our full potential to our life and work is a factor of the relational synergy of R³ - Renewal, Resiliency, and Relationships and our ability to incorporate R³ into our EcoDomains.
The philosophy of the Renewal Group is best illustrated in our logo of the tree. Its ability to persist and mature is a phenomenon of mutualistic relationships. In an intricately interdependent globalized world, leaders and organizations must have a deep understanding of their network of reciprocal interdependencies at work in their environment. The 21st century will reward those who master the art and science of R³ - Renewal, Resiliency and Relationships.
The Renewal Group Story
Tom Wojick formed The Renewal Group in 1997 after leading an organizational transformation effort for a private behavioral health care system, comprised of multiple country-wide sites. In his position as Vice President of Operations, working in support of CEOs leading their local change efforts, he participated in and witnessed a range of successes and failures. Tom formed The Renewal Group out of a determination to share his learning in support of creating healthy, profitable and rewarding work environments.
When reflecting on his past experiences he realized that the single most critical element to organizational success was leadership. And the single most important leadership competency was relational acumen.
The essential secret that Tom noticed is this: Leaders who are able to inspire and engage their workforce were able to overcome obstacles that caused the demise of leaders who on paper were equally as experienced and academically trained. The difference between success and failure was relationship skills. Whenever he saw positive relationships, he saw results. "If you want to increase your success you need to proportionally increase your relationships."
This insight captured Tom’s spirit and passion. It gave him the courage to leave the safety and relative security of executive life to form the Renewal Group and to bring his insights, experience, and leadership skills to professionals and organizations. His focus on the powers of renewal, resiliency and relationships have helped numerous people and organizations experience not only success but also significance.
